          _{d/avina’s   use   of   magic   is   extremely   unique   to   herself .          she’s   extraordinarily   powerful ,   though   she’s   never   had   any   training .          she   was   raised   with   the   knowledge   of   her   potential   and   was   selected   for   the   harvest   ritual   at   sixteen ,   but   before   this ,   there   was   no   mention   of   her   ever   having   been   taught   by   her   mother .          she   mentioned   to   josh   that   all   the   power   she   held   was   siphoned   from   the   other   harvest   girls ,   and   that   she   doesn’t   know   what   she   has   without   that   power .} 

_{given   that   she   never   had   any   legitimate   teacher ,   this   produces   a   style   of   magic   that’s   not   only   messy ,   but   can   be   extremely   detrimental .          it   wasn’t   only   that   the   power   dwelling   in   her   from   the   harvest   girls   was   too   much   for   her   to   contain ,   it   was   that   she   didn’t   have   anyone   to   reign   her   in ,   even   after   the   ritual   was   completed   and   her   magic   simmered .          so   even   now ,   though   she’s   essentially   taught   herself   the   works ,   a   lot   of   her   magic   should   be   much   more   unhinged   than   canon   would   show .}
